The re-order will realise the full potential of our building and provide improved facilities and meeting space for all church-based organisations and for wider use by the local community. Whilst remaining sensitive to the existing building, we require a space that is relective of the worship needs of our congregation week by week. There is no desire to make changes for the sake of change - but a real desire to make a mark on the heritage that has been handed down - so that worship is not simply enriched but so that real physical and spiritual issues can be addressed. What we do within the Church building, our worship, fellowship, learning and empowering is done in order that we might serve the community within which we are situated but our building is here to serve the congregation's purpose as Christ's body on earth, nothing more and nothing less. The Church building, where our congregation worships, is where we reach out from and it is a building we desire to draw people to. 'Inside' we are determine and faithful followers of Christ. 'Outside' we are Christ's servants to the community. As our title 'Inside Out, Outside In' suggests, we are hoping we will be enabled to take our work and our identity out into the community and bring the community into us. There is already much local interest in the project, all of it supportive. The existing use of the facilities reflects the strong demand from all parts of the community. The higher-grade facility in the re-ordered church will provide for greater demand from a larger parish population. We look forward to supporting our strong local musical heritage with The Fochabers Fiddlers using our building both for rehearsal and performances. The image that the Church wishes to convey is of an active and friendly congregation whose doors are open for use 7 days a week, who have a clear mission to reach out to all in the parish and who make their excellent and modern facilities available to their neighbours.
